Only one (1) hour of behind-the-wheel instruction per day will count towards the 30 hours regardless of the number of hours the student actually drives in a day. 18+ Adults Applying for a Texas Drivers License before the young driver is eligible for a provisional license. If you are 18 and have completed this program, you need to bring the same document along with you. You also need a completion certificate from the Impact Texas Teen Drivers video that is dated within 90 days of your test. If you are under 18, you will also need to bring proof of enrollment to show that you are in school. In addition to this, you will need your DE-964 certificate that indicates you have completed 32 full hours of the teen drivers’ education course.
